The team was:
1 Kris Hook (Winchester)
2 Conor Doyle (Lee)
3 Tom Dow (Avenue)
4 Matt Morris (Swanmore)
5 Tom Vinnell (D Lloyds)
6 Jack Wicken (Lee)
Doubles
1 Kris + Conor
2 Tom D + Ed Blake
3 Matt + Tom V
Dorset turned up with their full county team so it was going to be tough battle again.
The doubles was first and we went up 2 – 1 with two good wins in the 3rd set from Tom & Ed and Matt & Tom. The Dorset 1st pair were too strong for Kris & Conor losing fairly easily.
In the singles, Dorset were out to prove a point having lost badly last time. They won 4 out of 6 matches this time with only Tom D and Jack winning for us.
So we lost 5/4.
Dorset were much more solid in singles than we were this year and we will need a little bit of work in that area for the next match, but we only lost 4/5 so it was good that it was a competitive match and we can do more to improve for next time.
