Hampshire & Isle of Wight Over 35s Women Show Great Team Spirit at County Cup.
Hampshire & IOW delivered a superb week of tennis, finishing with four wins from five and securing promotion after a dominant final day. The squad showed depth, resilience, and consistency across all five days, with standout performances from every pairing.
The Hampshire & IOW Men’s team was in Group 3 of the Summer County Cup held this year at Hunstanton in Norfolk.
The Hampshire & IOW girls competed in the National County Finals at Nottingham Tennis
Centre over the weekend of 3rd – 5th July.
This was following their qualifying result two weeks prior, and were in the mix with the seven other strongest counties in the country.

Hampshire & IOW Tennis hosted the 14U Singles County Finals and, for the first time, the Adult Doubles Area Finals on the fantastic grass courts at CourtX.
Congratulations to Liliana Mawo and Matthew Gannon, Sam Watson & Tom Coward who all will be playing at Wimbledon in August!
The Girls’ 11U County Cup qualifying event was held at East Dorset Lawn Tennis Club over the weekend of 13th – 14th June.
This year’s 11U County Cup event was held over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June.
This year, the team qualified for the National Finals held at Nottingham Tennis Centre from 14th -17th May through a combination of player rankings and regional competition. Although some of our higher-ranked players were unavailable, which affected the final outcome, the squad made the most of the opportunity and enjoyed several fiercely contested matches.
