As you may know, Tuesday, 3 December, marks International Day of Disabled People (IDDP). This is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements within disability tennis over the past year, from recreational participation to elite-level success.
Hampshire & IOW Men were in Group 3A for Winter County Cup held in Sunderland from Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th November this year.
Held on Sunday 3rd November at DL Southampton, this was a pre-cursor to the Winter County singles competition at the end of the month. It was an 8-man team, one singles and one doubles.
This year’s Hampshire & IOW LTA Coach Forum was held on Tuesday 22nd October at Portsmouth Tennis Centre from 9.30 am – 1.30 pm. The Forum was managed by our County Development Centre (Ucoach) in partnership with the LTA and the County.
For the second year in a row, our Ladies 65s County Cup team reached the Seniors County Cup National Finals which, for 2024, were held at ‘home’ David Lloyd Southampton on Friday 25th October.
The Hampshire & IOW County Championships were held from Sunday 25th – Saturday 31st August 2024 at Winchester Racquets and Fitness. There were singles and doubles events from 8U – 18U and Men’s and Ladies Open singles and doubles.
The inaugural Hampshire & IOW County Padel Championships were held on Saturday 24th August at Winchester Racquets & Fitness.
9th – 11th August 2024, Eastbourne. We were in Group 4A facing East of Scotland, North Wales and Berkshire.
Saturday 3rd – Monday 5th August 2024. We were in group 3b facing Berkshire, Kent and Durham and Cleveland.
The Hampshire & IOW Men’s team was in Group 3 of the Summer County Week held this year at the lovely East Gloucester Tennis Club in Cheltenham from Monday 22nd – Friday 26th July 2024.
