Hampshire & IOW fell short of coming home with the winners plate after losing a shoot-out match tie-break in the Final against Sussex.

The team had been practicing for this event over the winter and really have now put themselves amongst the big counties of Padel Tennis.  Beating Nottinghamshire and Cornwall followed by a huge result over Gloucestershire, last year’s Champions in Box 1, the team qualified into the knockout stage of the quarter-finals beating Buckinghamshire and then defeating Yorkshire in the semi-finals, before the tight final against Sussex.

UK Padel organise the County Championships which, for the first time, is now sanctioned by the LTA. Opportunities exist for Ladies and Mixed teams also in the 40’s and 60’s age groups.
