The inaugural Junior County Padel Championships were held over the weekend of 6^th and 7^th June at the Padel Hub, Southampton.

We had 14 pairs for the 14U Boys event which was held on the Saturday and on Sunday we had 5 18U Girls pairs and 4 18U boys pairs.

Double congratulations to Joseph Jepson and Lukin Parker who won both the 14U and 18U Boys events.

Adult

For this year, we moved the Adult County Padel Championships to a different time of year so it was held on Saturday 4^th July at the Padel Hub, Southampton.

We had 4 pairs for the Men’s event and 3 pairs for the Ladies’ event.  This was the first year we had been able to hold an Ladies’ event.

Congratulations to our Men’s Champions – Milo Maclean and James Parker who beat Robbie Maw and Yumo Wan in a close final 2-6, 7-6(5), 10-5.  Angus Mcdowall and Miles Mcdowall beat Tal Russ and Nathaniel Taylor 7-5, 6-2 in the 3^rd / 4^th play-off.

Congratulations to our Ladies’ Champions – Roisin Mullins and Saffia Rae who beat Rebecca Davis and Emily Leighton-Smith and Claire Hewitt and Kirsty Taylor.

Thank you to all who competed in this year’s Championships and for many it was their first time in a Padel competition.
