We were in Group A with Devon and South Wales
Day 1 match 1 v South Wales
We had a good start as after the singles, we were 4-0 with Ben and Ray wining their match tie-breaks. In the doubles, we won doubles 2 (William and Ollie) and lost doubles 1 (Ben and Filip).
Day 1 match 2 v Devon
After the singles we were 3-1 up with wins from Ben, William and Ray with Filip losing a close match 7-10 in the match tie-break. So we just needed one doubles win to win the Group. Ben and William had a close match and won the first set tie-break, lost the second set and went down 5-10 in the match tie-break. Ray and Jasper won at doubles 2 10-5 in their match tie-break.
So we were top of Group A and had a chance of getting to the Finals!
Day 2 – Play-off for Finals – Avon
We had to wait until lunchtime for Group B to finish and to know we were up against Avon.
Ben, William and Jasper won their singles so we were 3-1 going into the doubles and Ray and Jasper won at doubles 2, so we had won through to the Finals.
A big well done to the team on a fantastic result and we will be going to Nottingham TC for the finals over the weekend of Friday 16th – Sunday 18th May.
