The 2026 Tennis Championships were held during a sunny week apart from Finals Day when all the matches had to be played indoors.

A big thank you to Jenny Sayer, the referee and organiser, and to all the court supervisors – John Cliff, Liz Collinson, Beau Darrer, Jane Dow, Aurelie Hemphill, Jane Hackford, Gill Macarty, Diane Shields, and to Sophie Cliff on control desk, for running such a great event.  Also, a big thank you to Ian / Joe and the team at Winchester Racquets and Fitness.

We would also like to say thank you to the four Umpires for making Finals Days that bit more special – Mike, Alex, Kris and Tom, and to Richard Cutler, Charity Manager, for presenting the trophies.

The One-Point Slam held on Friday 28^th August was a great fun event with 18 entries both male and female players taking part from 10U – Adult.  Each player put £2 cash into the pot with the winner taking it all!   A big well done Harriet Burley and Emma Bebbington – the last two standing and congratulations to Harriet the winner !! 🏆

For this year’s event, there were:

166 players, 293 entries

28 events, 408 matches

747 sets, 6,110 games

Well done to the players and congratulations to our 2026 County Champions.

Special mention to Jacob Lee who won the 10U and 11U Boys titles and Annabelle Sanders who won the 14U and 16U Girls titles.  Scott Yates and Edwin Vopson retained the 18U Boys Doubles title.  Daniel Rutorov retained the Men’s Doubles title with a new partner, Jesse Frank Abu.
