Day 1 – A Strong Start

Match 1 v Herefordshire and Worcestershire

Hampshire & IOW kicked off their County Cup campaign with a tightly contested tie against a strong H&W side.  Monty and Josh secured excellent singles wins to level the tie at 2–2 heading into the doubles.  With everything to play for, Josh and Tom battled hard in a thrilling match tie-break but were edged out in a narrow loss that saw H&W take the tie 4–2.  A valiant effort from the team in a high-quality contest.

Match 2 v Wiltshire

Bouncing back in style, Hampshire & IOW dominated their second fixture of the day. Monty, Lex, Tom, and Josh all recorded convincing singles victories, followed by composed and clinical doubles performances.  A brilliant 6–0 win capped off a strong end to Day 1.

Day 2 – Team Dominance

Match 1 v Gloucestershire

The team came out firing on Day 2.  With great energy and consistency, Monty, Lex, Tom, and Josh swept all singles and doubles matches to secure another impressive 6–0 victory.

Match 2 v Shrophire

In their final tie, Hampshire & IOW once again proved too strong.  All four players delivered commanding wins, maintaining their flawless Day 2 record with a third straight 6–0 result.

Final Standing – Runners-Up

Across four ties, Hampshire & IOW won 24 out of 28 matches, finishing the weekend with three dominant 6–0 wins and only one narrow 4–2 defeat to the eventual winners, Herefordshire & Worcestershire. A fantastic second-place finish and a performance to be proud of!
