The Teams were:
Girls: Imogen Fry, Desiree Goller, Nicole Mak, Serena Mawo, Lily Paracha
Boys: Rafael Butler, Austin Durman, Hugo Kirkness, Charlie Reeves, Edward Wood
The Girls event was held in the morning with the boys event following. Unfortunately, there wasn’t time to play any doubles, so each player played 2 singles matches.
Girls:
The day started with the toughest match against a strong Sussex Team and ended up a 4-4 tie. After that the girls won comfortably v South Wales, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire. Well done to the girls who finished second. special mention to Nicole who won all her matches.
Boys:
The afternoon started with a good win v Buckinghamshire followed by wins v Wiltshire, Sussex. The match v South Wales was the toughest and ended with a 4-4 tie, but this was enough to give H&IOW the win! Well done to the boys and special mention to Hugo who only lost one of his matches.
It was the first experience of a County Cup event for all the players except for Edward, who had played in the April event, and it was great to see the positive team spirit and great effort on-court.
