Jane won all her matches in 2 sets, and beat Sally Hargeaves in the Final 6-4, 6-1.  Jane was seeded 1 for the tournament and lived up to that seeding.

The following other Hampshire & IOW players competed:-

Rosemary Wilson reached the semi-finals of the Ladies 75 event and won the Ladies 75s doubles with Belinda Blackburn, beating the No 1 seeds.                                     

David Gaterell played in the Men’s 45s singles and doubles and reached the semi-finals in the doubles with Richard Down (No. 1 seeds).

Mike Moir played in the Men’s 60s.

Rennie Johnson played in the Men’s 75s singles and Men’s 70 doubles with John Spratt and reached semi-finals in both.

Roy Henderson played in the Men’s 85 singles and doubles event and his partner was Ian Barnett.
