The 2025 Championships were a huge success helped by the weather which was mainly dry, and the organisation by the Referee and the team, and also the great sportsmanship of all the players.

A big thank you to Jenny Sayer, the referee and organiser, and to all the court supervisors – John Cliff, Liz Collinson, Beau Darrer, Jane Dow, Aurelie Hemphill, Lottie Howard, Oliver Schlaich, Diane Shields, and to Sophie Cliff, Esmee McConnel and MG Shea on control desk, for running such a great event.  Also, a big thank you to Ian / Joe and the team at Winchester Racquets and Fitness.

We would also like to say thank you to the eight Umpires for making Finals Days that bit more special – Rob, Alex, Chris, David, Elizabeth, Ivan, Johan, Steff.

For this year’s event, there were:

183 players, 313 entries

36 events, 425 matches

786 sets, 6,253 games

which was slightly higher than in 2024.

Congratulations to our 2025 County Champions  and special mention to Tobechi Nwawudu who won the 16U and 14U girls singles event.  In the 18U girls final Evie successfully defended her title with Sophia Florence as the runner-up for the second year.  Daniel Rutorov won the Men’s singles and doubles titles (with Ollie Hooper) and was the runner-up in the 16U boys singles and doubles (with Jesse Frank Abu) for the second year.
