Our 10U Girls County Cup team qualified for the Finals from Girls South Group E held over the weekend of Saturday 18^th and Sunday 19^th May at Sherborne LTC.

The Team was:              Maia Ambroze, Diana Florence, Sophia Rutorova, Isla Skeates

Team Captains:            Lottie Howard, Joe Revelle and Sarah Rutherford

Other counties:            Dorset, Surrey, Wiltshire

We had a brilliant start to the weekend with a 6-0 win v Wiltshire and v Dorset.

On day 2 we faced a strong Surrey team.  Maia playing at singles 4 started well with a 4-2 win in the first set but lost the second and the tie-break 5-10 and Sophia at 3, lost in straight sets.  There were good wins from Diana (2) and Isla (1) so it was 2-2 going into the doubles.

Diana and Isla played really well and won and Maia and Sophia tried really hard but lost 1-4 and 3-4(2) so it was match shoot-out time!  Isla and Maia started slowly but once momentum has swung their way, they managed the win and qualify for the Finals.
