Summer County Cup
LTA’s Summer County Cup event – commonly known as ‘County Week’ – is possibly the oldest tennis event on the domestic calendar, dating back as far as 1895.
44 counties across the nation are divided into groups based on their results of the previous year’s event with Group 1 being the ‘premier league’. Teams compete against each other over a week to see which team comes out as champions.
O35’s County Cup
The Over 35s County Cup gives men’s and ladies players around Britain the opportunity to represent their county in a one-off summer event held in Eastbourne.
The 44 counties are placed in 22 groups of four counties per gender. These groups are placed in order of the previous year’s results with Group 1 being the ‘premier league’.
Final positions are based on how each county performs within that particular group – with top teams getting promoted to the next group and bottom teams relegated to the group below.
Seniors County Cup
The Seniors County Cup is played over two stages – a qualifying event, followed by a Finals.
*New for 2026*
After consultation with all counties about removing the regionalisation of Division 1 groups only, a decision has been agreed to mix the divisions geographically, enhancing competition, giving players new counties to play. This won’t apply for the Over 75’s and Over 80’s age groups at this stage.
Teams who finish top of Group 1 of each age group will qualify for the Finals and compete against each other to determine which county will be crowned champion! The Finals will be held at Nottingham Tennis Centre from 23rd – 25th October 2026.
